ACAT is a non-profit organization seeking to improve the methods and standards of the animal control profession in Tennessee, to inform the public of the true nature and importance of the work performed by animal control organizations, to cooperate with other public agencies dealing in animal control, and to promote justice and equity in the enforcement of animal control laws.
We are composed of individual, organizational, and corporate members. ACAT is open to any adult or organization actively working in or affiliated with animal control work. The purpose of ACAT is not to tell its members how to operate their local agencies or associations. Rather, to work with all agencies and associations for the betterment of the animal control profession.
